Here are the leaders who have stepped up to join the Slow Food Indy board and help guide our organization this year.
Meet the candidates!
Erin has been passionate about food from an early age. After graduating with a music degree from Butler University, she turned her efforts toward culinary school in Chicago. After school she returned to Indy, just as the culinary scene really started to gain steam. She is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Neal Brown Hospitality, one of Indy’s premier independent restaurant groups.
Leah Huelsebusch landed in Indiana after spending three years living and traveling in Europe. While abroad, Leah developed a passion for slow food which served as one of her motivations for founding Taxman Brewing Company. As COO of Taxman, Leah is able to bring her slow food vision to life through Taxman’s farm to table gastropub in Bargersville.
Devoted to cooking, eating and delectable experimenting Teri is a recent transplant from the San Francisco Bay Area and joined Slow Food Indy to explore and participate in the local food culture. She is excited to share and grow her knowledge with programs and events created to inspire and enlighten the palates and stomachs of the local community. Teri is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego and is the Program and Event Coordinator for the Indianapolis Prize, the world’s leading award for animal conservation.
Jess relocated to Indianapolis in 2008 and after discovering the local food movement and exploring the cities wealth of farmers markets and farm-to-table restaurants she fell in love with her new home. She now works as a Realtor and has a passion for helping people discover, connect and fall in love with our city as she did, through food.
