Email and Web Manager

  • Draft, test and send 2-4 emails monthly using Sendy
  • Communicate with committee chairs and board members to gather event and organizational info to compile emails.
  • Manage email list – add emails gathered at events
  • Update website weekly – biweekly. Includes blog posts, calendar updates, fundraising info, etc. – using WordPress

Social Media Manager

  • Develop and schedule content for Facebook and Twitter accounts
  • Communicate with committee chairs and board members to gather event and organizational info for distribution
  • Monitor daily Facebook and Twitter feeds to respond to community and share relevant partner content
  • Support Slow Food Indy partners through likes, RTs, shares, tweets and posts

Board Member

  • Serve as an engaged member of the Slow Food Indy board attending monthly meetings to plan organizational activities and priorities
  • Attend Slow Food Indy events as a volunteer and participant
  • Volunteer as needed to assist in activities, events, fundraising, etc.
  • Special roles include Board Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Committee Chairs

Farms & Food Committee Member

  • Attend planning meetings
  • Organize and implement events and fundraisers such as farm tours, fundraising events, monthly Sips, etc.
  • Recruit and organize volunteers for events

Membership Committee Member

  • Attend planning meetings
  • Participate in annual membership drive planning
  • Organize members-only events
  • Welcome new members via email and in-person at events
  • Plan and implement member benefit program

Outreach & Education Committee Member

  • Attend monthly – bi-monthly meetings
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of workshops, lectures, educational classes and other events to further Slow Food Indy outreach goals

Snail of Approval Committee Member

  • Attend planning meetings
  • Maintain and grow Snail of Approval program by interviewing applying restaurants and preparing recommendations to the board for approval
  • Collaborate with board members and other committees to create opportunities for Snail of Approval restaurants
